• Now click on Hardware and Sound. Run the Play audio troubleshooter and follow the prompts. Once this is done, restart the computer and check the status. Method 2: Download the latest drivers from the manufacturer’s website and try installing the Sound drivers in Windows 8/8.1 in compatibility mode.
• Run the Audio Check in HP Support Assistant to make sure the audio device is functioning properly. Go to HP Support Assistant to download and install the HP Support Assistant software, if it is not already installed on your computer. In Windows, search for and open HP Support Assistant. On the My devices tab, click your computer.

DTS Sound

After launching the DTS Sound Utility you will see the main program screen which gives you the ability to:

1. Turn DTS Sound on and off (colored = active, grey = disabled)
2. Select Advanced settings
3. Select either external outputs to configure
4. Turn features (Surround, Volume Max an dBass Boost) on/off (colored = active, grey = disabled)

Pressing the right arrow icon on the right side allows you to select the output to configure.

Pressing the ADVANCED button in the lower left takes you to the following screen for configuration
